Powerful Women of Purpose Series. Cassandra Williams

This week we are excited to introduce you to our guest Cassandra Williams, who believes that an expert or authority is not always the person with a lot of degrees hanging on the walls but the one who has learned from life, through blood, sweat and tears. Only by overcoming great challenges you can bring great changes in your life. So, let's step ahead of our comfort zone and begin with a life changing journey.

About Cassandra -

Cassandra L. Williams was born in 1974 to a teenage mom that had the courage to give her life despite the odds. Born prematurely, she learned early in life to fight. She grew up in Buford, GA surrounded by her parents, John and Elvira Rogers and loving family. Upon her Graduation from Buford High School, she went to Fort Valley State University and graduated with honors with a Business Management Degree. It was there she developed a relationship with God beyond just going to churchon Sunday.

She is the devoted wife of Fred Williams and proud mother to Christian. In 2016, she founded Cassandra Williams Enterprises. She is the author of the A Victor's Heart Series and a Certified Professional Life and Empowerment Coach where she helps people, especially women, release their inner genius and move from victim to victory by dealing with their past, embracing where they are, and moving into the life they were created to live. She endeavors to teach people how to stand in their truth and grow from it unapologetic-ally.

What's your definition of purpose?

Purpose is that thing you were created to do to make an impact in the earth and leave a legacy for future generations. It is the thing that is not linked to money but brings your life fulfillment.

When did you know for sure what your purpose is and what you wanted to contribute to the world as a/your career?

I have always enjoyed helping people, but a year and a half ago I walked into an informational summit for coaching. About 30 minutes into the session, I was in tears. This man, whom I had never met, was talking about my life. His words opened up my mind in a way I had never experienced and I knew… Coaching isn’t just what I was created to do but who I am at the core of my being.

To date what's your most significant accomplishment?

Other than becoming a mom, one of my most significant accomplishments is being the author of the A Victor’s Heart Series. The thought that the words I pen can go places I will never go and impact people that I may never meet is humbling. What I thought was my darkest days now shines a light for someone else to follow back to Christ.

What's one tip you would give to someone trying to figure out what their purpose is, and living it no matter what?

Passion and purpose are two different things. Don’t get so caught up in passion that you miss your purpose. For years, I was passionate about cooking and food. I had my own catering business and knew that is what I wanted to do. It became so overwhelming and I walked away. I remember my mentor saying, “You will feed people just not in the natural.” I am still very passionate about food but my purpose is not to feed people naturally but emotionally and spiritually. When you find that place of purpose you no longer need a plan B everything aligns with that one vision and you become purpose driven.

What's your definition of beauty and how do you celebrate your individual beauty?

For me, beauty resonates from the inside out. True beauty comes from being able to stand in your truth knowing who you are without apologies. For years, I was insecure and hated the woman in the mirror. I made mistakes and could not live up to the perfect image that I thought others needed me to live. One day I realized I was enough… if I didn’t lose a pound, wear my hair a certain way, drive this car, or live in that community. In that moment, I accepted ALL of me (good or bad) and realized I was be-YOU-tiful.

Besides the Bible what's your favorite self-development book?

Who Moved My Ladder by Dr. Samuel Chand

You can do everything right and climb the ladder to find out that is not where you want to be. If this is the case, don’t be afraid to take the next steps for your next big move. There is more.

Everyone has a purpose and to realize this purpose needs courage, to overcome all challenges to fulfil that purpose.
