She supports women entrepreneurs to find their own way to be empowered, enriched, balanced, and happy with their money and their relationships. We are delighted to have Cornelia share with us this week on beauty and purpose.
What's your definition of purpose?
Purpose for me is when you have a clear vision of what you want in life (or for the next 3 years) and with that vision, you know why you are doing things that we are doing. A purpose is like a compass that is guiding us in life.
When did you know for sure what you wanted to contribute to the world, your career?
The moment I saw my little girls living a sad childhood because I was living a miserable life, that was the moment I knew I had to do something to change my life. After that, it became my mission to support other women (sometimes men) to find their own way to a better and fulfilling life.
To date what's your most significant accomplishment?
I have so many, but the most significant are when my daughters were born.
What's one tip you would give to someone trying to figure out what their purpose is, and living it no matter what?
First thing first, take a piece of paper and start writing what you want to enjoy in this life. What experiences, with whom, how you want to live, etc. Be as specific as you can. If you are making this for 3 years, break those things down in year 2 and year 1 time-frames. For example, In 3 years, I plan to live in a beautiful mansion, in year 2, I plan to live in a big apartment and save money for the mansion. In year 1 I plan to I live in a rented house and save money for my mansion. When you have this plan, you'll know why you want to make money and to save. It is clearly articulating it.
What's your definition of beauty and how do you celebrate your individual beauty?
Beauty for me is how we treat ourselves, what we think about us, how we let other people think about us. I didn't see ugly people, I saw only sad people. How we feel can make the most beautiful person ugly, or the ugliest person beautiful. It is a choice!
Besides the Bible, what's your favorite self-development book?
Conversations with God
Power versus Force
